Areas to do controls/Moving off & Stopping

Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions
A circuit that is suitable for practicing left and right turns as well as emerging at T-Junctions  begins on Potters Grove, follows left on to South Park Grove and emerges right on to Green Lane. From here, as Green Lane becomes Windsor Avenue, the first left takes the student on to Cotsford Avenue. At the end of this road, emerge left on to South Lane and then take the fourth left back on to Potters Grove. Steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques can be practiced here.

Meeting Traffic
When two cars meet and yet there is only room for one to pass, this is known as meeting
traffic. The body language of the other car is key to knowing how to proceed safely. Westbury Road and Grayham Road are suitable areas to develop understanding of this particular topic.

Roundabouts
Burlington Road, Kingston Road, The High Street and Malden Road meet at The Fountain Roundabout which is perfect for learning to negotiate roundabouts correctly. Priorities and correct signaling for any exit can be illustrated here.

Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals
The High Street provides the student will plenty of crossings and signals to become accustomed to. This road also enables planning issues to be addressed.

Areas to do maneuvers
Green Lane and Barnsbury Close provide a good area for reversing around a corner. The corners of Green Lane and Gooding Close are also suitable. For turns in the road and parallel parking try Cotsford Avenue.
